Step 2

Leading Teams

Intensive training in how to unleash the leadership and full potential of your team

Overview

Take the mindset and abilities learned in Step 1 to the next level and transform how you lead groups.

Who is this for?

This is for you if you want to develop as a leader, whatever your level of experience. It works just as well if you are a Project Manager, CEO or senior leader, Scrum Master, HR professional, people manager, or work in a self-organising team with no managers.

What to expect?

More tough, practical training in how to apply an adult-to-adult, empowering way of being in order to unleash the potential of the teams you lead.

What NOT to expect!

Theoretical training or ‘edutainment’

Time Commitment

The online programme consists of 4 modules spread over 6 weeks. Each module is an afternoon (13:00-17:00 CET) and a subsequent morning (9:00-12:00 CET), including breaks.

The in-person programme consists of four days’ practical training with a break (usually one month) in between days 3 and 4. Each training day is from 9:00-17:00, including lunch and breaks. There are some short home assignments to do in between, mostly conversation practice.

Dates

See our start dates and check if you are available for all modules. Attendance across all modules is vital to get the most out of the programme.

Outcomes

Outcomes you can expect from taking part in this leadership programme are:

For You

Deepening the core abilities needed to have a leadership mindset and way of being that is more empowering and adult-to-adult

Increased confidence in facilitating groups so that the responsibility happens ‘out there’, instead of the group always being dependent on you

Developing an awareness of what’s happening ‘under the surface’ in a group, what gets in the way, and what’s needed for them to succeed

For Your Organisation

How to be a catalyst for your teams taking more responsibility and ownership for the organisation

How to increase the capacity of your teams to deal with tensions and conflicts in a healthy way

How to coach groups when they are ‘stuck’ and foster a climate of trust and openness that increases collaboration

Great for anyone who wants to learn how to address and solve the most important issues affecting any teams, anywhere.

What we will cover

The training is designed to deepen the mindset and abilities you learned in Step 1 that are needed for you to unleash the responsibility in your team(s).

We’ll cover themes such as how you can coach your team to get ‘unstuck’ when there is an unhelpful climate or atmosphere going on, or facilitate a group in such a way that they step in and really commit.

You will train in various challenging scenarios where you quickly get a sense of how your way of being and the actions you take can sometimes be in the way for the group to really be responsible and self-sufficient. We will give you new tools and techniques you can use right away to shift the dynamic in any group.

The methodology underpinning the training is Tuff’s own, which has been developed for more than twenty years and is known for creating tangible results.

All of our trainers are evaluated by all course participants and have an average score of 9.5 out of 10. We recruit on the basis of abilities rather than CVs, and all trainers undergo extensive internal training, both before and after they become certified, as continuous personal development is part of our culture.
