If you are working in an NGO, nonprofit or social enterprise, you are probably wrestling with leadership and culture challenges like: developing leaders who can unleash the potential in their teams, creating a feedback culture that encourages personal development and accountability, and helping people to have difficult conversations, especially in times of uncertainty.

This programme is designed to give leaders and professionals working in NGOs, nonprofits and social enterprises an intensive, practical learning experience in the mindset and abilities needed for more empowered teams.

What will you get from the training?

  • A totally different view of what leadership can be
  • A clear sense of the key components of three important conversations (coaching, feedback and ‘conversation for choice’), and core abilities you can continue to develop in order to master them
  • Incisive feedback and coaching that will help you map out your leadership strengths, pitfalls and areas for development in order to spark greater responsibility in your teams
  • Increased confidence in leading difficult conversations
  • The opportunity to practice and share learning and challenges with a group of like-minded peers from your sector
  • The enjoyment and relief that comes from realising we are all designed this way as human beings and we can struggle, laugh and grow together

Content and layout

The programme consists of 3 modules spread over approximately 4 weeks, and is led by one of our certified Tuff leadership trainers. Each module consists of two half-day sessions (11:00–14:30 CET) in a row. In between each module you will have time to try out your learnings, and meet up with your learning group (also online).

The training is practical and is designed to develop the leadership mindset and skills needed to unleash responsibility and commitment in your teams. Your old patterns and behaviors will be challenged, and you will become aware of your pitfalls and strengths. Real-life role-plays combined with individualised, powerful feedback mean that you will find new and better ways to deal with the challenges you are facing. The overall theme is a coaching leadership approach, which is translated into different kinds of conversations such as feedback and coaching. You will get a variety of new tools that you can apply right away. The methodology used is Tuff Leadership Training’s own, which has been developed for more than twenty years and is known for producing tangible results.
